Dear Valued Customer!
Thank you for choosing The Windsor Castle. My team and I fully appreciate that you have a multitude of options in the Maidenhead and Marlow area in which to drink or dine and genuinely appreciate the choice you made today and your custom.
I have spent over 30 years in the food and drink Industry and know all too well how many establishments simply seem to expect customers to accept poor service and mediocre food/ drink offerings. What ever the size of the business, I firmly believe that this should NOT be the case.
This fundamental principle enabled me and my previous team to win the prestigious ‘Restaurant & Bar of the Year Award 2007’ at a large City centre restaurant and bar called ‘Mia Modo’ in Leeds . I was the General Manager there and it took four years of hard work and dedication before winning that award. I am confident that it will not take us quite that long to get to the standards I expect and demand from myself and the staff here at The Windsor Castle!
As the new owner, I firmly intend to deliver the same high quality service and really welcome your feedback on any issue, regardless how small.
New food offering
After a £300,000 refurbishment we are now fully operational. Our new, freshly prepared food offering is exciting but classic, menus prepared by our new highly talented Head Chef, Michael Morris. Food is served daily and bookings can be made on 01628 621649. Sunday lunch will be a speciality, so don’t delay in making your booking for the whole family now!
Security
Unfortunately in today’s day and age, this is a high priority for many people when choosing to drink or dine. Your security is of utmost importance to us and we have installed high definition Panasonic CCTV throughout the main bar areas, door entrances, beer garden and car park. This means you can park and enjoy your visit in confidence, but please do always take care when leaving handbags, coats etc, as we are unable to accept responsibility for your personal belongings. What we can do is ensure that with this sophisticated system, we do our utmost to make sure you and your belongings are as safe as possible and allow you to relax and enjoy your visit.
Car parking
Apart from extensive CCTV coverage, we have also closed off the far side entrance to the car park to improve security and convenience to our customers. The only entrance is the one approached off the main Bath Road A4 side. This will help ensure car parking is for customers only and will greatly improve both the security and controlled flow of vehicles/ visitors on the premises. New spot lighting will ensure much better visibility at night making it safer and easier to park.
It’s a dog’s life
‘Mans best friend’ is very welcome in the tiled bar area. All we ask is your dog is well behaved and you keep them on a lead. Fresh water bowls are available from the bar staff, so if we have not asked you, just come up and ask us and we will arrange it immediately.
And finally…
I hope you enjoyed this update as we continue to develop and make The Windsor Castle your preferred pub and dining destination in the area. We don’t do fruit machines, we don’t do wide screen t.v’s, we don’t do quiz nights, we don’t do loud music and we don’t have a pool table. What we do is offer a contemporary place to enjoy a drink or to dine, we do care about service and we do want you to feel comfortable and enjoy yourselves.
